Earlier this month, Nusa Gale from our Equipment Sales Team travelled to The Hague, Netherlands, to attend a two-day Mindray Animal Medical Technology training course on the Veta5 veterinary anaesthesia system. Hosted at the WTC The Hague, the programme offered in-depth insights into the functionality, setup, and clinical applications of the Veta series.
Day One – System Features and Practical Setup
The course began with a warm welcome and an overview of the Veta series range, highlighting features, model comparisons, and options available to veterinary practices. Key technical sessions followed, covering:
-
Fresh gas & vaporizer systems

-
AGSS & waste gas management
After lunch, the focus shifted to advanced functions, including ventilation modes, PEEP, alarms, and alarm management. The day concluded with practical guidance on assembly, installation, leak checks, and system settings, before wrapping up with hands-on access to the machines. The evening ended with a social networking event, offering the chance to connect with fellow attendees.
Day Two – Clinical Applications and Hands-On Learning
The second day moved deeper into the clinical applications and sales arguments for ventilation modes, equipping participants with the knowledge to support veterinary professionals in practice. Sessions included:

Troubleshooting tips & tricks
The afternoon was dedicated to mock demonstrations and interactive show-and-tell exercises, giving participants valuable practice in real-world applications. The course closed with a knowledge check through a multiple-choice test before dispersal.
