Following on from last months announcement of their CPD partnership with Improve International, Tipperary based Duggan Veterinary Supplies continues on its expansion roadmap, and are delighted to announce receipt of a wholesale distribution authorisation of medicinal products for human use.
This is the culmination of over 12 months preparatory work, and significant investment in their new facilities in Thurles, including temperature controlled rooms and transport to facilitate storage and distribution of ambient and refrigerated products as well as controlled drugs.
This new license, issued by the HPRA this month, will now enable Duggan Veterinary to supply the veterinary industry in Ireland with human licence products being used in the veterinary industry under the cascade system.
As explained by Donal Duggan, MD of Duggan Veterinary Supplies “As a Guaranteed Irish and ISO accredited company, it is imperative that we act upon our consumer feedback. The area of human medicinal products is one which we feel is under-resourced just now with limitations and delays in supply reported. We have worked tirelessly to implement a stringent and reliable supply chain allowing easy access to a substantial range of human medicinal products. This licence will also be a great addition to the new Duggan Healthcare division within the company.”
