During the dry period, the mammary gland is vulnerable, as milk flow no longer flushes bacteria, and routine pre- and post-milking disinfection is absent. Additionally, milk stasis reduces the udder’s natural defenses, and increased intramammary pressure may delay teat canal closure, creating an entry point for infections.
The air-free, short-tip syringe ensures proper sealing of the teat canal. This unique design eliminates air between the plunger and sealant, ensuring a more effective seal that prevents the entry of pathogens during the dry period.
