Warren Schofield is a European Specialist Veterinary Surgeon working in Ireland with over 30 years of experience in the equine field. Warren has previously lectured in UCD and continues his passion for teaching throughout every aspect of his career by educating his many residents, interns, colleagues, and owners.
Prior to branching out into his own Consultancy based work, Warren was a partner at Troytown Equine Hospital, Kildare. Warren specializes in surgery and orthopedics, particularly racehorses and high performance sprot horses.
Warren has published many papers on various topics, but one of the biggest achievements is being the first to perform and report on standing internal fixation of fractures in racehorses. This new technique omitted the need for recumbents positions under general anesthesia for an extended period. This technique is now practiced all over the world.
Warren has numerous publications under all aspects of equine veterinary medicine and surgery. Warren name is well known both in Ireland and across the world.
