At Duggan Veterinary Supplies, we’ve received some feedback from both farmers and vets regarding the infusion of Fatroseal — specifically that it can appear difficult to infuse or that the syringe seems not to empty completely.

To help clear up any confusion, our Technical Vet, Jennifer, has created a short demonstration video explaining exactly how Fatroseal is designed to work.

The key point to note is that the syringe plunger does not align flush with the top of the syringe barrel, even when the full dose of Fatroseal has been successfully infused. This design can give the impression that some product remains in the syringe, but rest assured, the correct amount has already been administered.

Fatroseal has been carefully formulated and engineered for ease of use and optimal sealing performance. Once the full content has been infused, no additional pressure is required — the cow has received the full intended dose.

We encourage all users to watch Jennifer’s video below for a clear visual explanation of this and to ensure confidence when administering Fatroseal on-farm.
