Role Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Procurement Analyst is to work as part of the procurement team to help manage the on-time delivery of products from our suppliers based in China, USA, UK and mainland Europe. This involves analysing data, market trends, supplier performance, and other factors to make informed procurement decisions that help the company achieve overall growth and profitability objectives.
Key Functions & Activities:
- Ordering stock from suppliers in a timely fashion.
- Reporting on supply chain, coordinating with suppliers, transport and warehousing partners, on all logistical matters and communicating accurate and timely data to key stakeholders within the business, i.e. operations, stores, sales & marketing and finance
- Assisting in controlling stock levels, reporting on stock positions, generating and implementing multi-location cycle counting procedures, co-ordinating annual stock takes in conjunction with finance and warehousing team
- Identifying slow moving items and developing clearance solutions
- Helping to resolve Purchase Orders, Goods Inwards, Sales Orders and Goods outwards issues
- Working with finance and sales to determining order volume requirements
- Assisting with the processing of price-list updates, descriptions, supplier, purchase volumes, etc
- Upload new products on to the system and ensure the master data in the ERP System is accurate
- Assisting in freight cost calculations, customs charges, and currency fluctuations to accurately determine margins.
- Building reports used for Supplier performance reviews for leadership and board members.
- Liaise with suppliers to resolve issues related to short or damaged deliveries and negotiate appropriate credit notes.
- Negotiate quantities, pricing, and delivery timelines with suppliers to support efficient shipments and optimize cash flow.
- Understand our contractual purchase obligations to our suppliers
- Filing and uploading Suppliers NDA agreements and contracts
- Maintain excellent lines of communication with relevant colleagues within the business
- Creating and managing dashboards on BI tools to provide insights on business growth and performance
- Due to the changing nature of the business requirements, the role may change from time to time. Should this occur, your manager will go through those changes at that time
- Any other reasonable request from your manager.
Person Specification:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a supply chain and ERP background
- 3rd level qualification desirable
- Highly experienced in using Excel spreadsheets, report creation & presentation. Power BI/BI tools experience will be an advantage but not mandatory.
- Detailed knowledge of Supply chain/Logistics/Pharmaceuticals
- Ability to operate using your own initiative in a flexible & dynamic organisation – be able to thrive in a challenging environment
- Strong communication skills regarding working with suppliers
- Experience with customer/vendor processes, escalations and resolution
