In September, we welcomed a group of veterinarians for a 5-day orthopedic practical session at our wet lab facilities. These vets are in the final stages of completing their Small Animal Surgery Certificate with Improve International. Starting their journey in February 2023, they have completed a blend of online and practical components, with the orthopedic segment marking the end of their practical training.
The group had the opportunity to learn from two of Ireland’s top orthopedic surgeons, Shane Guerin and Ciaran Jones. Over the course of the week, they covered various procedures and techniques in small animal orthopedics. This highly interactive and hands-on experience allowed the delegates to learn and engage deeply with the experts, fostering a collaborative and educational environment.
