London Vet Show – Why Knowing Matters for Pets, Clients, and the Environment
Understanding what’s hiding in our pets’ poo isn’t the most glamorous part of veterinary care—but it’s becoming one of the most important. Parasite testing is rapidly shifting from “nice to have” to an essential part of responsible small animal healthcare. And at this year’s London Vet Show ’25, Duggan Veterinary Supplies was proud to be at the forefront of that change supporting our partners Telenostic and Vet Sustain.
Leading the Conversation in Small Animal Parasitology
The OvaCyte analyser was part of two thriving stands at LVS, and we were delighted that the interest in point-of-care faecal testing was stronger than ever.
At the OvaCyte stand, delegates were eager to explore the latest AI-driven advances in the analyser—technology that is helping practices around the world move diagnostics in-house and make faster, more evidence-based decisions.
But one of the biggest highlights for us at Duggan Veterinary Supplies was seeing the OvaCyte featured on the Vet Sustain Sustainable Practice Stand. With the fantastic support of Rhys Jones and the wider Duggan’s team, we spent two days speaking with vets about the growing importance of faecal testing in small animal practice.
“Test Don’t Guess” Isn’t Just for Large Animals Anymore
We are champions of the “Test Don’t Guess” approach in large animal medicine—and now the same thinking is taking centre stage in small animal parasitology. The recent release of the Vet Sustain guidelines on parasiticide prescribing reinforces just how critical diagnostics are for improving clinical outcomes while minimising environmental impact.
