The Duggan Veterinary Supplies team was proud to attend Irish Farmers Journal Dairy Day 2025, hosted this year at the Sports Arena at the University of Limerick. The event drew a large crowd of dairy farmers, advisors, industry specialists and suppliers from across the country — all eager to discuss the challenges and innovations shaping Ireland’s dairy sector.

The new venue and refreshed event format brought fantastic energy to the day, with delegates taking full advantage of the wide-ranging talks, demonstrations and panel discussions. Topics such as nitrates derogation, environmental policy changes, production costs, grassland management and herd health were front and centre — reflecting the real-world pressures farmers are navigating today.

At our stand, we welcomed farmers and advisors as we highlighted Fatroseal, an internal teat sealant designed to provide essential protection during the dry period.

Fatroseal attracted strong interest among farmers looking for a reliable, easy-to-use dry cow management tool. Its features align closely with the needs of modern dairy farms. With herd health and milk quality under increasing scrutiny, Fatroseal continues to play an important role in helping farmers reduce mastitis risk and start the next lactation with healthier, more productive cows.

Across the day, the conversations we had with farmers reinforced the importance of creating partnerships built on trust, support and high-quality products. Whether discussing dry cow therapy, parasite control, farm consumables, sustainable practices or emerging challenges, Dairy Day 2025 reminded us how crucial it is to stay closely aligned with the evolving needs of Ireland’s dairy community.

We would like to thank the organisers, speakers and everyone who stopped by our stand for a valuable and insightful event. If you’d like more information about Fatroseal, our team would be delighted to help.
