BEVA Congress 2026: Our Biggest Stand Yet — and Three New Ways We’re Backing Equine Health

Last week, the Duggan Veterinary Group team headed to the International Convention Centre in Birmingham for BEVA Congress 2026. Three days, 130+ speakers, over 100 exhibitors, and our largest stand at any event we’ve ever exhibited at.

It felt like a milestone worth marking, so here’s a look back at why we were there, what we launched, and why we’re already looking forward to next year.

 

Five years in the making

We’ve been supporting equine practices for years, but this year’s BEVA Congress was a genuine step-change in how we showed up. The bigger footprint wasn’t about size for its own sake — it reflects how much our equine range, our team, and our relationships with practices across the UK and Ireland have grown over the past five years. What used to be a single small table with a couple of product lines has become a full stand with space for live demonstrations, product specialists, and proper conversations with the vets and nurses who use our products every day.

Our goals for Congress were simple: put our newest equine innovations directly in front of the people treating horses day to day, gather feedback we can act on, and keep building the relationships that make this industry what it is. On all three counts, it delivered.

 

What we launched

Cubarmix Equi

We were pleased to bring Cubarmix Equi to Congress — an oral powder antibacterial for horses combining sulfadiazine (400 mg/g) and trimethoprim (80 mg/g), a potentiated sulfonamide combination for the treatment of susceptible bacterial infections. Eq Ano — a new test for the OvaCyte platform

Alongside it, we launched Eq Ano, a new addition to the OvaCyte testing menu focused specifically on Anoplocephala (tapeworm) — a parasite that’s notoriously difficult to pick up reliably with a standard faecal egg count. Bringing tapeworm detection onto the same AI-powered OvaCyte platform that practices already use for strongyle and ascarid work means one sample, one analyser, and a fuller picture of a horse’s parasite burden without adding a separate test to the workflow.

 

Continued support for Equimetrics V-PRO

We also used Congress to reaffirm our ongoing support for Equimetrics V-PRO, the wearable remote monitoring harness for horses. V-PRO tracks heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, sweat and movement, plus on-board ECG, streaming it all to an app in real time. For vets managing sick or high-risk horses, it means fewer manual round-the-clock checks and earlier warning when something changes — whether that’s in a hospital setting, on the yard, or in transit to an event. Learning, networking, and — yes — a mechanical bull

BEVA Congress has always struck a good balance between serious CPD and a genuinely good time, and this year was no exception. Across six CPD streams and 21 hours of content, there was no shortage of things to learn between stand visits — but Congress also knows how to have fun, from the Pop World party to the Annual Dinner Dance closing things out.

Our own stand added to the entertainment on offer. We ended up next to a mechanical bull for the duration of the event, and it’s fair to say it provided hours of entertainment for delegates and our own team alike —and their not-so-graceful attempts will be talked about for a while yet.
